This update makes menus behave predictably on phone and desktop, gives the
Share Folder dialog one consistent layout, and finally shows your real page in
social previews.

Menus That Stay Put
Submenus like View style and Sort by now wait a moment before opening, the same
way the main menu does — passing your pointer over a row no longer flings a
flyout open. On phones, a submenu opens right where you tapped instead of
appearing far down the screen, and the row you tapped no longer disappears
behind it.

Controls You Can Always See
Menu buttons keep their translucent glass finish for as long as their menu is
open, so a trigger no longer fades away the moment you move onto the panel.
Wallpaper cards use the same finish, with white icons that stay legible on any
photo. In the sidebar, hovering a folder no longer draws bars at its edges, and
the folder you're in is marked by its background alone.

Pinned Bar, Tidied Up
Unpin appears once, at the top of the menu where you'd look for it, instead of a
second time inside More.

Share Folder, One Layout
Link, Customize, Publish, Team and Analytics now share a single column width
that lines up with the thumbnail card, so nothing sprawls wider than its
neighbour. Analytics cards arrange themselves by the space they have, and in
Customize the background card no longer covers the Blur, Dim and Text & Icon
controls.

Social Previews That Look Like Your Page
Share a folder and the preview image is your page: round icons on a white
canvas, labels centred beneath them. Titles that don't fit end in an ellipsis
instead of being cut mid-letter, icons that can't be decoded fall back to a
lettered chip, and the old icon-and-title header is gone.

Fixes and Improvements
- Social previews were empty for every shared page; they now read from the
bookmark database directly.

Aug 11, 2026

Open any bookmark on the Wayback Machine directly from Bookmer. The new Web Archive action is available below Versions in the context menu and bookmark editor, making it easy to see how a page looked before it changed or disappeared.

Web Archive is shown only where it’s relevant — links get the option, while folders and internal Bookmer shortcuts stay uncluttered.

Aug 10, 2026

This update brings a more consistent design across Bookmer, smarter menus, improved navigation, better folder and tag handling, a new Web Archive feature, and fixes across desktop, iPhone, and iPad.

Folder Icons & Colors

Folder icon changes now appear instantly throughout Bookmer. Updating an icon or its color immediately refreshes the top navigation and side navigation without requiring a page reload.

The folder icon picker now also matches the bookmark icon picker, with clearer selected states and improved readability.

Setting an icon background color is more flexible, too. Choose a color directly from the palette or use the eyedropper to pick one from anywhere on screen.

The eyedropper has also been improved for better accuracy on photos, large images, emojis, and icons.

Smarter Menus

Context menus now open directly from the icon you clicked, making them feel visually connected to the control they belong to. This applies across profile, folder, and editor menus.

Submenus such as SupportTools, and Export Bookmarks now wait for a brief pointer pause before opening, reducing accidental activations.

Toggle actions such as Exclude search and Pin no longer close the menu after every change, making it easier to adjust several options at once. The Pin action also updates immediately between Pin and Unpin.

Background Menu

The background menu has been redesigned to be smaller, clearer, and more consistent.

It now opens directly where you click and uses a unified layout for BlurDimText & Icon, and Remove, with consistent icon sizes, typography, alignment, and color controls.

Safer Editing

Bookmer now protects unsaved changes when creating a folder, creating a bookmark, or editing a background color.

If you try to close an editor with unsaved changes, Bookmer asks before discarding them, with Keep editing as the default action. If nothing has changed, the editor closes immediately.

Tags Update Instantly

Tag folders and the Tags overview now refresh automatically whenever a #hashtag is added, changed, or removed from a note.

No page reload is required.

Custom Domains

Managing custom domains is now more straightforward.

The Domain tab now has a dedicated Add domain button. Selecting it reveals the domain field together with Cancel and Save actions.

Remove domain now appears directly beside the active domain for quicker access.

Navigation

The side navigation has been refined for clearer states and more consistent alignment.

The folder currently being viewed now has a stronger active highlight, while hover uses a clearly lighter appearance so the two states are easy to distinguish — including on glass backgrounds.

Folder expand and collapse controls now provide clearer hover feedback.

The navigation menu button is precisely aligned with the search field and keeps the same visual appearance as other Bookmer icons across interaction states.

Titles, spacing, and sizing in the side navigation now also match the Preferences interface more closely.

Improved Search

Sidebar search is more reliable and responsive.

Results now update after a brief pause in typing rather than on every keystroke, always reflecting the latest query.

Search also continues working correctly after deleting part of a query and typing again, and opening a folder from search results now automatically clears the search.

A Cleaner Look

Bookmark and folder menu buttons now use the same translucent glass appearance as the search bar.

Icons automatically adapt to the content behind them, keeping controls readable across light and dark wallpapers.

Glass surfaces throughout Bookmer have also been made more consistent across light mode, dark mode, solid backgrounds, and wallpapers.

Keyboard & Interaction Improvements

Keyboard-focused controls now use a distinct focus ring instead of a filled background, making focus states easier to distinguish across both glass and solid surfaces.

The Undo action in confirmation messages now uses Bookmer’s shared button design for a more consistent interface.

Shared Pages

Exclude search is no longer shown on public shared pages.

Visitors now see only the actions relevant to them: New tabPopup, and Copy URL.

Spacing in Share Folder settings has also been improved, removing the oversized gap between Searchable for Search Engines and Require Password.

API Settings

Code examples in API Settings now use the same card layout and width as the settings above them.

The Copy button is now integrated directly into the code box instead of appearing separately beside it.

iPhone & iPad

Fixed an issue where opening View style could make the menu behind it disappear.

View style now behaves consistently with Sort by: the menu remains in place while only the selected row transitions.

Tapping outside an open Preferences panel now simply closes it instead of accidentally activating a folder or bookmark underneath.

Additional Fixes & Improvements

This update also includes additional interface refinements, consistency improvements, and reliability fixes throughout Bookmer.

Aug 08, 2026

From now on, there is only one browser extension for Chrome. We are discontinuing Bookmer Collect, Bookmer New Tab, and Bookmer Launcher, and replacing them with Bookmer—a single extension that combines all three functions. You can still quickly add links with the button, open new tabs with Bookmer, and activate the launcher through search engines like Google. Everything now works through one app.

Some social logins were still linked to the old version, which caused occasional issues. All necessary adjustments have been made in the background. Now, everything works smoothly, and you can log in using all social login systems without trouble.

Authentication emails are now sent faster than ever, so if you're waiting for a security code, it will arrive much more quickly.

Aug 05, 2026

There were some issues with selecting and using multiple accounts, but the system has now been fixed and is noticeably faster. You can now interact with multiple accounts more quickly and switch between them with ease.

Aug 03, 2026

In the Broken Links overview, each link now has a dropdown menu that allows you to delete links directly. Alternatively, you can hide links from the broken links list.

Jul 31, 2026

To improve interaction and maintain a consistent design, the dropdown has been updated. Each folder's style must now be selected through a submenu.

Jul 27, 2026

To ensure global consistency across all systems, we are designing dropdown menus to look the same on every platform. It is now possible to easily switch between Bookmer IDs via the main menu. We will also gradually update more elements to create a uniform style, all based on a single leaf shape.

Jul 20, 2026

We now have LoginSign and Bookmer combined as one. LoginSign is now Bookmer ID. The functionality remains largely the same, but everything is consolidated under a single brand. The unique ID is now global, with multiple measures in place to ensure it works across platforms as a unified account.

Jul 06, 2026

We have made several improvements to the navigation bar to enhance its functionality. Moving elements via drag and drop is now much easier, and icon changes apply immediately, as do placing elements in subfolders. We’ve also fixed numerous bugs, resulting in a more pleasant overall design.
